Guide to the BG Plast booth experience at K2025
Entering the BG Plast booth means walking through a journey designed for those who make industry: designers, process engineers, technical managers, buyers and decision makers. No “showcase tour.” We take you through technology, real samples and case studies, with a clear common thread: transforming production needs into concrete, scalable and sustainable extrusion and calendering lines.
“At K we don’t just show machines: we share a method,” explains Florio Roccon, owner BG Plast. “Listening, engineering and testing: this is how an idea becomes a production line.”
If you want to visit us at booth 16D61 for a concrete solution, you can decide to maximize your time and prepare a list with:
- polymer(s) of interest (PP, PET, PS, ABS, PVC; HDPE/LDPE/PP for geomembranes; PVC, TPU, EVA, TPO, TPV for coatings);
- product specifications (thicknesses, useful widths, surface finish, target mechanical properties);
- volumes and runs (batches, product mix, energy/waste constraints);
- any industry standards or specifications.
Or simply let our engineers guide you.
SAGEC: the system that changes the rules of extrusion
Start discovering SAGEC, among the most anticipated new products we will bring to Düsseldorf: an innovative and patented system. A true paradigm shift in the world of extrusion.
With SAGEC it is possible to produce multilayer bubble panels in thermoplastic materials in a single step, thanks to a calendering system developed by BG Plast. The inner layer has a three-dimensional structure that gives superior lightness and mechanical strength, both in longitudinal (MD) and transverse (CD) directions.
Key features of panels produced with SAGEC
Panels made with SAGEC technology offer a unique set of advantages:
- Lightness, which simplifies handling and logistics.
- High mechanical, flexural and compressive strength.
- Water and moisture resistance, ideal for outdoor or critical environments.
- Thermal-acoustic insulation, paving the way for construction and industrial applications.
- Fully recyclable, to comply with sustainability principles.
- Easy to laminate, for coupling with preprinted films, fabrics or carpeting.
With thicknesses from 4 to 12 mm, widths up to 2050 mm and production capacities up to 1,000 kg/h, SAGEC caters to sectors ranging from automotive to furniture, from packaging to insulation board construction.
“SAGEC is not just a new machine: it is a new way of thinking about the panel. It combines lightness, performance and sustainability, opening up application possibilities that previously required multiple production steps. It is the perfect synthesis of our philosophy: to innovate starting from the concrete needs of industry.“passaggi produttivi. È la sintesi perfetta della nostra filosofia: innovare partendo dalle esigenze concrete dell’industria.»

Calender 4500: large-scale precision
For those looking for large-format production solutions, the journey at K 2025 continues with the second new addition we will bring: the 4500 calender, designed for the production of specialty sheets (T-GRIP and V-STUD) and geomembranes.
Why 4500 mm makes a difference
With a cylinder width of 4500 mm, this calender is a real milestone for large-scale extrusion. It is designed to ensure uniformity, control and surface quality even on exceptionally large sheets for industries that require strength, aesthetics and high performance.
Each cylinder is equipped with independent motorization and a separate temperature control system capable of maintaining constant temperatures throughout the process. Electromechanical control of opening and closing guarantees maximum accuracy on thicknesses, which can range from 1 to 40 mm.
Material versatility
The 4500 mm calender can process a wide range of polymers and is compatible with multilayer configurations.
“We wanted to design a calender that would go beyond traditional limits,” Roccon comments. “The 4500 mm format gives our customers access to new markets and new applications. But the real challenge was to maintain the same precision as a smaller calender: and we succeeded.”

Geomembranes: technology for sustainable waterproofing
The path of dedicated solutions for those who want to innovate continues. HDPE, LDPE and PP geomembranes are now a standard for soil and water protection in large environmental and infrastructure works. We have developed highly customizable extrusion and calendering lines capable of producing smooth or textured geomembranes, even laminated to geotextiles.
Technical performance of BG Plast geomembrane extrusion lines
- Widths up to 8000 mm useful: less welding in the field, greater efficiency in laying.
- Thicknesses from 1 to 3 mm, with guaranteed uniformity over the entire surface.
- Productivity up to 1500 kg/h, without compromising on quality.
- Multi-layer coextrusion, even with different polyolefin formulations.
- Application of geotextile.
Applications of geomembranes
Geomembranes produced from BG Plast lines find use in:
- Landfills and waste treatment plants.
- Basins and ponds for the agricultural and water sector.
- Hydraulic infrastructure (canals, reservoirs, tunnels).
- Mining industry and containment works.
“Our geomembrane lines are designed to offer reliability over time,” Roccon explains. “Every detail-from calendering pressure to temperature control systems-is designed to ensure chemical, mechanical and environmental resistance, and minimize waste.”esistenza chimica, meccanica e ambientale, e ridurre al minimo gli scarti.»

The width of geomembranes produced with BG Plast lines can reach 9000 mm
Extrusion coating: new possibilities for lamination
The field of extrusion coating is growing rapidly because it allows different polymers and substrates to be joined in a single process, creating composite materials with high added value.
The new 3200 mm plant
Packaging, waterproofing and technical textiles professionals can find out all the details of a recent project for our customer in Poland MDM NT, which involved the installation of a 3200 mm BG Plast plant designed for the production of waterproofing films for construction. With this technology it is possible to make large-format rolls that can be used as moisture barriers, roof coverings, and protective membranes.
Advanced features
- Compatibility with PE, TPU, EVA, PP, TPO, TPV.
- Coupling with nonwoven fabrics, textile nets, moquette, natural fibers.
- Polyolefin coated laminates, multilayer solutions designed for industrial and protective applications.
- High homogeneity of thickness and aesthetic quality.
- Flexible layout, ready for future expansion and sustainable materials.

Substrates extruded with BG Plast’s lines can be coated with polyolefins (LDPE, LLDPE), ionomers (Surlyn), EVA or CPP and/or laminated with paper, cardboard, biaxially oriented polypropylene, biaxially oriented nylon, polyester and other plastic films, metal foils, fabrics, fiberglass mats, aluminum foil, and more
Engineering and sustainability at K 2025
We translate specifications into concrete ideas that also look at sustainability. During the 7-day event you will discover our philosophy: “Our goal is to combine performance and responsibility,” Roccon emphasizes. “Lines are born efficient and grow with the customer: this is where sustainability becomes a competitive advantage.”
From the study of plant architecture, with parameters such as number and size of extruders, feedblocks, multilayer configurations, cylinder geometries and finishes, automation, safety, scale-up arrangements, to related services-installation, training, ongoing support. Your new journey into innovation for thermoplastic extrusion starts in Germany, but continues wherever your business idea is.
“For us, Fair K is much more than an exhibition,” Roccon concludes. “It is a time for direct confrontation, where we listen to customers’ projects and help them turn them into concrete solutions. Our technologies-from the 4500 calender to SAGEC, from geomembranes to extrusion coating-are tools to build the future of thermoplastic processing together.”
Now is the time to experience the future firsthand. We will be at K2025 – Düsseldorf, October 8-15, booth 16D61.If you would like to secure dedicated time on a specific technology, book an appointment: we look forward to building your next extrusion and calendering line together.
