TPO waterproof membranes extrusion line
In modern construction, waterproofing is an essential requirement. BG PLAST is one of the leading manufacturers of extrusion lines for waterproofing membranes, thanks to technologically advanced solutions for the production of high-performance polymeric membranes, particularly TPO membranes, which are now considered the most advanced standard for creating durable and reliable roofing systems.
Waterproofing membranes for roofs are technical materials designed to prevent water penetration into buildings: they protect civil and industrial structures from leaks, deterioration and structural damage. The evolution of materials and thermoplastic extrusion processes has led to the development of increasingly high-performance multilayer membranes, which require highly specialized and configurable extrusion systems.n-screw extruders) and coating and calendering technologies. BG PLAST’s offer includes three- and four-roller calenders in various configurations (horizontal, diagonal and vertical), as well as special solutions.
Applications
Membranes produced using BG PLAST extrusion lines are suitable for a variety of building applications: flat and sloped roofs, terraces, balconies, industrial roofing, infrastructure and civil engineering projects. The most modern solutions include membranes based on synthetic or natural rubber and plastic-based membranes, such as PVC, TPO/FPO, EPDM, EVA and geomembranes made of HDPE or PP.
In particular, TPO (thermoplastic polyolefin) membranes combine thermoplastic elastomers and polypropylene, for an optimal balance between flexibility, mechanical strength and durability. These membranes can be reinforced with nonwoven fabrics or technical mesh and enhanced with functional layers designed for UV protection, thermal reflectivity, vapor permeability or adhesion.The production of multilayer membranes involves complex processes of lamination, thermal bonding or coating, performed in-line with high precision to ensure uniform thickness, dimensional stability and consistent quality of the finished product.

Technical specifications of BG PLAST waterproofing membrane extrusion lines
The waterproofing membrane extrusion lines designed by BG PLAST are custom-engineered based on the material being processed, the required performance and the application sector. Depending on production requirements, single-screw, counter-rotating twin-screw or co-rotating twin-screw extruders are used, each optimized for specific extrusion capacities and material formulations.
The lines can incorporate three- or four-roll calenders in horizontal, diagonal or vertical configurations, as well as special solutions such as tandem extrusion/lamination technology, which enables single-pass operation with high production capacities and tight tolerances on the single layer.
In terms of performance, BG PLAST lines for waterproofing membranes guarantee:
- effective widths up to approximately 4,000 mm;
- thicknesses ranging from 1,000 to 3,000 μm;
- production rates that can exceed 5,000 kg/h;
- lamination of fabrics on one or both sides in a single pass;
- in-line embossing capability.
Our focus on energy efficiency, millimetre-precise thickness control, and material flexibility makes our plastic extrusion systems ideal for continuous, high-value-added production.
Technology designed for durability
The waterproofing membranes produced on BG PLAST lines stand out for their high resistance to weathering, UV rays, temperature fluctuations and aging, as well as their ability to maintain high flexibility even at low temperatures. They also offer vapor permeability, tensile strength, and resistance to root growth and microorganisms.
Thanks to a design philosophy focused on quality and customization, we are able to offer extrusion lines for polymeric membranes capable of meeting the most advanced needs of the construction market, with reliable, high-performance and durable solutions.
