2025: an extraordinary year for BG Plast

Innovation, partnerships, people who made a difference, towards the future of extrusion

2025 was a turning point for BG Plast: not only in terms of technology, but also in human, strategic, and international value. It was a year of decisive milestones, new plants, global trade fairs, collaborations, and moments that further strengthened our role in the world of thermoplastic extrusion and calendering.

A year that was a metaphor for our journey, which tells the story of our identity between engineering, listening, and vision.

As Florio Roccon, founder and CEO, says: “Every project, every trade fair, and every meeting reminded us that technology is important, but it is people who make it grow. 2025 was the year in which innovation and partnership went hand in hand more than ever before.”

If 2025 were a diary, each project would be a page written by many hands: technicians, customers, partners, collaborators. A story about engineering and construction sites, but also about handshakes, trips, trade shows, and goals achieved together. While it is true that we measure innovation in millimeters, kilowatts, and tons per hour, it is the relationships built over time that give us that extra something. The following pages tell this very story: the most important moments of our 2025, in a journey that is only a new beginning.

Innovations 2025: every project, a step forward

A series of technological achievements has made this year one full of innovation, consolidating our position as a global partner for the production of extrusion and calendering lines.

8000 mm geomembrane line: large-scale engineering

At our headquarters in Marnate, in the province of Varese, we have completed the assembly of an 8000 mm line dedicated to the production of HDPE and LDPE geomembranes.

An impressive plant, designed to guarantee:

  • exceptional working widths (up to 8000 mm actual, 9000 mm total),
  • constant thicknesses from 1 to 3 mm,
  • productivity up to 1500 kg/h,
  • multilayer configurations and coupling with geotextiles.

A solution designed for those working on large construction sites, environmental projects, water infrastructure, and waterproofing works.

The 4500 calender: undisputed star of K 2025

Unveiled at the K trade fair in Düsseldorf, the 4500 mm calender captured the attention of technicians, engineers, and decision makers from around the world.

It is designed for:

  • the production of special sheets (T-GRIP and V-STUD) and large-format geomembranes,
  • guaranteeing uniformity across the entire width thanks to independent motorized cylinders,
  • offering high surface quality even on thicker sheets,
  • processing a wide range of polymers and multilayer configurations.

As Roccon points out: “With the 4500, we have combined size and precision. It is a calender that opens doors to new markets and new applications, without sacrificing the process control that distinguishes our technologies.”

Revamping of the BGF 2000 line: back to maximum performance

A project we are particularly proud of: the complete revamping of the BGF 2000 line, installed in 2002 and now back to maximum performance.

  • Productivity up to 600 kg/h
  • Sheets from 850 to 1600 mm
  • Thicknesses from 0.25 to 2 mm
  • 5-cylinder calendering
  • Automatic cutting unit.

A concrete example of how revamping can give new value to outdated lines, extending their useful life with improved efficiency, also benefiting sustainability.

Extrusion coating: a year of growth and new configurations

Our structured entry into extrusion coating has been consolidated by the new 3200 mm plant installed in Poland at MDM NT and the technical-commercial collaboration with Extech: a line capable of processing PVC, TPU, EVA, PP, TPO, TPV and laminating on fabrics, non-wovens, nets and much more.

This technology opens up further possibilities in technical construction, automotive, packaging, and industrial textiles.

New goals in extrusion coating: a 3200 mm line designed for waterproofing membranes and technical laminates

New solutions in extrusion, technology for the next generation

Alongside our main projects, we have been working on:

  • new features for our coating and laminating systems,
  • updates for quality control and temperature control,
  • development of more flexible architectures for multi-layer configurations.

A year in which our engineering capabilities have been transformed into more sustainable, modular, and high-performance systems.

Partnership 2025: growing together with our customers

Many pages of our 2025 diary talk about collaborations that have turned into real industrial alliances.

BG Plast’s strength also lies in the partnerships and relationships we build over time. A real driver of growth.

QBC/DWF Group (Qatar): a contract with double value

On May 1, International Workers’ Day, we signed a new and important contract with a long-standing customer: QBC/DWF Group.

A perfect symbol: a day dedicated to commitment, celebrated with a collaboration that has lasted for four consecutive projects.

The new line will produce:

  • 4100 mm T-Grip and V-Stud HDPE liners,
  • capacity of 1200 kg/h,
  • flat sheets up to 25 mm thick.

This project adds to previous supplies of two 8000 mm geomembrane lines and one 2000 mm T-Grip line.

This result also strengthens our presence in the Middle East.

MDM NT (Poland): extrusion coating for building membranes

The aforementioned 3200 mm plant built for MDM NT is one of the key projects of the year.

A line capable of guaranteeing:

  • uniform adhesion,
  • high thickness control,
  • great flexibility on different substrates,
  • suitability for sustainable materials.

A key partnership that strengthens our presence in the industrial lamination sector.

Robel do Brasil: the new R|Flex2

Our sister company in Brazil has presented R|Flex2, an advanced line for flexible PVC film.

A technology that combines:

  • Italian design,
  • local production,
  • state-of-the-art process control.

An example of how our engineering vision is shared internationally.

Trade fairs and meetings: a year of international exchange

The trade fairs of 2025 were like intense chapters in our international diary: places where technology meets people.

Journeys that took us all over the world, between trade fairs and meetings with professionals from five continents for new opportunities and projects.

Roccon explains: “We don’t just bring machines to the trade fair, but a way of working. Listening, analyzing, and sharing: that’s where the best projects are born.”

ArabPlast (Dubai)

With Luca Roccon present at the stand, ArabPlast was an opportunity to meet with MENA operators and establish new collaborations. Particular interest was shown in geomembranes and coatings.

The energy of the days in Dubai confirmed the centrality of the Middle Eastern market.

Plastimagen (Mexico)

One of the most important trade fairs of the year. Visitors appreciated the accuracy of our calenders and multi-layer configurations.

With COO Luca Roccon in attendance, we rediscovered a young and growing market where our technology can make a difference in extrusion and sustainability.

K 2025 (Düsseldorf)

Seven intense days, a continuous flow of contacts, presentations and discussions. Our stand in Hall 16 was among the most visited in the extrusion-calendering section.

An unmissable event for Florio Roccon, who has participated in all 17 editions of this benchmark event for plastics.

Of particular interest were our new technologies, some of which, as anticipated, were presented during this fair:

  • the 4500 calender,
  • SAGEC solutions,
  • extrusion coating lines.
“Ogni K è una storia a sé, ma quella del 2025 resterà speciale.”, conferma Roccon

“Every K is a story in itself, but the one in 2025 will remain special,” confirms Roccon

People: our greatest asset

We can count on people who are not only technically skilled, but also passionate about their work: a fortune, an inexhaustible resource of excellence that we build day after day, goal after goal, together.

Looking ahead to 2026: new technologies, new projects

2026 looks set to be a year full of opportunities. We look forward to engineering and manufacturing new extrusion coating lines and calenders and growing thanks to new partnerships that will lead us to new solutions that are increasingly sustainable, flexible  and tailor-made.

As Roccon says: “Our work never stops. Each year adds another piece to our history, but the future of extrusion is built every day, together with our customers.”

2025 thus closes an important chapter in our diary. And like any good story, it leaves room for new pages yet to be written.

Happy 2026 from the entire BG Plast team.

Let’s continue to build the future of extrusion together.
